Brisbane sign Albanian Striker Besart Berisha

Well, its certainly been a busy day down at Roar HQ, 1stly they completed the signing of Bahraini defender Sayed Mohammend Adnan, then the team goes out and demolishes Queensland State League side Brisbane Strikers, and now they have completed the signing of Albanian Winger/Striker Besart Berisha.

Berisha, 26, who has experience in the English Premiership with Lancashire outfit Burnley, aswell as time at Bundesliga club Hamburg HSV and laterly Germany 2nd tier side Armenia Bielfeld where he made 28 appearnces, scoring just the twice. This goalscoring ratio is enough to raise question marks for fans who have seen a plethora of strikers come and leave the club with poor goalscoring records.

In addition to his club exploits Berisha has played 17 times for his national side, scoring just the once. I know that this goalscoring record sounds rather poor, however given the national team he plays for and level of competition they would b coming up against its not quiet as bad. Certainly thou, i think most Roar fans were hoping for someone slightly more clinical infront of goal and similar to last seasons signing Jean Carlos Solorzano who has since moved on to Melbourne Victory. It seems however that Ange and the football department has put alot of time and thought into this signing with assistant coach Rado Vidosic scouting him, so in Ange we trust .
