Brisbane will be without Nichols, Murdocca (injured) and Henrique (suspended) for the fixture although Brisbane Times reckons Mitch is a chance. I can’t see it thou, bench at best. Coming in you would suspect will be Brattan at CM, Issey on the right flank and Fitzgerald on the left. That’s certainly what the clubs preview insinuates anyway. Personally id prefer Meyer to start on the right, with Kofi on the bench and no Issey, but that’s just me.

For Adelaide they’ve apparently adopted a defensive strategy in recent times, something of a 4-4-1-1/ 4-5-1 and id bet on that continuing. McKain and Usucar are back fit, but I can’t see Usucar coming in. McKain’s return will probably see Levchenko move into midfield with Malik apparently requiring a rest says Kosmina. There’s also some speculation that Van Djik will be rested with finals gone, but I can’t see that. He’ll probably be on the bench thou with Djite preferred by Kosmina it seems.

The key to this game is all about recovery with both clubs having midweek games, but you would expect Brisbane to have the advantage in this respect. For some reason Adelaide flew home to SA for 1 day before coming here, makes no sense to me but each to their own. Adelaide will however have more momentum behind them following an impressive 2-0 win in Uzbekistan.

In terms of the actual game this game is absolutely crucial for Brisbane if they are to retain their premiership with two away games to close out the season. Adelaide have very little to play for but they’ve  historically been good in Brisbane (if you discount the last two matches where they’ve conceded 11) If Brisbane can get their typical game up and flowing tomorrow you would suggest this is a comfortable home encounter/
