Former Roar players weekly wrap: 11/09/13

It’s an international week so just about every league is out of action, however I do have some news.

Transfers:
Michael Zullo has moved on a loan move from FC Utrecht in the Eredivise to Adelaide United. Meanwhile Steven Lustica has also joined Adelaide on a permanent basis after his Hajduk Split contract was terminated.

International Football:
Australia:
Matt McKay, Tommy Oar, Robbie Kruse and Sasa Ognenovski all started in Australia’s 6-0 drubbing against Brazil.

Canada: Issey Nakajima-Farran was in the Canada squad which played two friendly matches in Valencia against Mauritania. The first was a 0-0 stalemate, while Mauritania won the 2nd game 1-0. I cant see if he played in either game.

Club football:
Asia:
Japan:
Yuji Takahashi (Kyoto Sanga)
Kyoto Sanga 4-0 Sagawa Printing (Emperors Cup)
Idk if Takahashi was involved or not- he probably wasn’t.

Do Dong-Hyun (FC Gifu)
Fagiano Okayama 2-1 FC Gifu (Emperors Cup)
Soccerway doesn’t provide teamsheets for these games.

Indonesia:
Sergio van Djik (Persiba)
They’re due to travel to Persipura later today

India:
James Meyer (Pune FC)
Pune 3-0 Mumbai
James scored in a pre-season game.

North America:
Jean Carlos Solórzano (Puntarenas)
Puntarenas 0-0 Deportivo Saprissa
6th in Costa Rican Primera (After 6 games)
Solórzano wasn’t in the squad
