Former players wrap: 02/12/14Posted: December 2, 2014
Couple of links this week:
Firstly- from the man himself, Michael Zullo is headed back over to the Netherlands this week to continue his rehabilitation from his ACL injury. Something that not many would of known however is that Brisbane were assisting him in the early phase of his recovery as he tweeted last night. It’s unlikely that Michael will be back playing this season, and it goes without saying that we wish him all the best going forward.
Meanwhile in the Netherlands it was a bit of a mixed back with Socceroo Tommy Oar going off at half time with a hamstring injury which could hinder his Asian Cup hopes. Stef Nijland on the other hand is in the middle of great run of form, netting his two goals and an assist in PEC Zwolle’s big win at the weekend. He’s now got 5 goals this season, which as the following tweet reveals is a record.
Finally, former Brisbane flyer Tahj Minnieccon has moved to Pilipino side Loyola Meralco Sparks in a bid to re-start is professional career. Since leaving Brisbane Minnieccon, now 25, has struggled for game time with Gold Coast United and most recently Western Sydney.
