Brisbane confirm Pre-Season schedule

Brisbane Roar have this afternoon confirmed their build up for the new season with three clashes against A-League opposition.

The games, which are against Melbourne Victory, Newcastle Jets and Central Coast Mariners, will be played across South-East Queensland with games on both the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, in addition to a game down in Cleveland.

Today’s three games are in addition to are in addition to last weeks’ announcement of a game against an NPL Queensland u/23 All-Stars side at QSAC.

The clashes against A-League opposition should prove a good reference point of where Brisbane are as we enter the new season, with the last of those games scheduled 12 days before the season starts away to Western Sydney.

It’s a much shorter pre-season run this year however, with the first game almost six weeks later than it was leading into the 2014-15 season. There is also a noticeable lack of clashes against the NPL Queensland and Brisbane Premier League sides, with the NPL All-Stars clash the closest the Roar will seemingly go to playing any of the local sides this year.
