2016-17 Season Draw unveiled

Today the draw for the 2016-17 A-League season was released, with Brisbane playing the opening the news season with a home clash against Melbourne Victory on Friday, October 7. Brisbane will also conclude the regular season at home against Wellington Phoenix on April 16. Here’s the full draw.

UntitledThe breakdown of the home games sees Brisbane play four home games on Friday nights,  four Saturday games and five games on Sunday’s. In terms of away games, Brisbane will play five games on Fridays,. six on Saturdays and three on Sundays giving people plenty of potential for away trips.

This upcoming season will see the Roar host Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC, Western Sydney and Wellington twice, while Newcastle, Central Coast, Melbourne City, Adelaide and Perth once. In terms of away trips, flip the above breakdown.

The other impact on the A-League draw is Brisbane’s 2017 AFC Champions League playoff  clash which will be played on February 7, 2017. That falls four days after the round 18 home game at Sydney FC and four days before the trip to Melbourne City.

With the unveiling of the season draw, the new season seems a lot closer despite it being the middle of the off-season. 151 days until the new season gets underway.
